Is Stats GDPR-compliant, and do I need a cookie banner?
Generally, no. Stats does not use consent-required cookies, so you don't typically need a cookie banner for Stats. IP addresses are processed briefly to derive region and count same-day visitors — they are not stored.
How is Stats different from Google Analytics?
Stats is simpler, lighter, and more privacy-friendly. Our script is under 1KB (GA is over 45KB), we offer AI insights in plain language, and a world map — plus municipality-level detail for Icelandic traffic.
What are AI insights?
AI reviews your data daily and delivers a clear summary you can act on immediately — for example traffic changes, top sources, or visits from ChatGPT — without digging through complex reports.
Does Stats track traffic from ChatGPT and other AI tools?
Yes. Stats separately identifies referrals from ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and other AI search tools so you can see exactly how much traffic each one drives.
What does Stats cost, and is there a free trial?
